The DeepFactor control plane is available in .ova format for deployments using VMware.
Note that the screen captures below are from ESXi 6.7, but the .ova can be deployed on any ESXi version 5.5 or later (or vCenter 5.5 or later, or VMware Workstation/Fusion). The steps to import an .ova in VMware products other than ESXi 6.7 may vary.
Step 1: Create your DeepFactor account on my.deepfactor.io
Step 2: Download the DeepFactor OVA and key after logging in.
Step 3: In the ESXi web user interface, click ‘Create/Register VM’:
Step 4: Select ‘Deploy a virtual machine from an OVF or OVA file’:
Step 5: Enter a name for the portal VM, and then click in the large grey window to select the .ova you downloaded previously.

(Note: The IP addresses assigned to the machine are printed in the console for convenience purposes. If the machine is behind a NAT or firewall, the IP address you use to access the control plane’s web user interface may be different. Check with your ESXi / network administrator if this is the case.)
Step 13: Copy the key and enter the IP address of the new VM in a web browser, then follow the first-time setup wizard to complete control plane configuration as follows.
